Wow, Looks great! I 've actually never seen a wolf rug before. It looks fantastic. Who was the taxidermist? I can't wait to get my first bear rug back from my taxidermist.

It was done by Ed Harder at Burntwood Taxidermy in PG. Got the skull bleached as well. I'll try to get a pic of it.

NIce work PG,

Is there a story to go with the wolf?

It's actually my dad's wolf. He was stand-hunting moose and decided to go for a walk. Got about 70 yards from the stand, stopped to listen......and 4 wolves come right down the trail at him. When he lifted his rifle, the first two jumped out of the way, BOOM! Drilled the one above dead center, jacked in another shell, jet black wolf last in line, gone before you could blink. He really wanted the black one but it was so fast he didn't have a chance. Shot him at about 30 yards with a 7mm Rem Mag. Dropped like a stone. Taxidermist figured that he was the alpha male considering his size. Guessed that with a full winter coat and a good belly of moose meat he would have weighed 130-ish pounds. Apparently he was really thin when they skinned him out. Here's the before pics:
