The photo in question is just about the boat lol, actually the bow picture is the smaller sister of the the big 350hp girl!

Zaconb, great looking pup, how is the wirehair in the cold water here? any idea if they can be trained to be flushers rather than pointers, or can they be hunted upland together in combination with a flusher.

Chas has hunted the st. Lawrence in Dec/Jan and Ottawa River! As long as I do my part, dry vest, two 18000btu heaters in the boat he's fine. We've hunted -15c with out a shiver! Chas is trained to flush on command

Damn that looks cold!!! But heck of a lot of fun. I take it you upland hunt as well?

Do you upland hunt locally? Or in the us or other provinces?

Very interested in the wirehair, griffon, dd breeds. We have a chocolate lab that has been with the trainer now for 4 months, we get him back in a month. I am thinking I want a second dog. I know they hunt upland differently, any thoughts, have you hunted with another flusher?
