Cariboo Game Calls

Is anyone out there into buying, selling or collecting vintage game calls?

Personally, I only started dabbling in this about 3-4 years ago as a bit of a hobby to kill time during our long Cariboo winters. So far I've accumulated over 250 game calls, mostly duck and goose from the 1970's and earlier, however I have managed to collect many other types as well, some of them dating as far back as the 1930's.

To-date the best find I have made is a very rare Francis J. Muehlstein "Natural Duck Call" Patent Date 1932. I was fortunate enough to have found this call with its very rare original instruction sheet. When this call is blown the metal bill moves up and down. It is shown in my Avatar on top of the old box of shells.

Some of you may have an old game call or two kicking around that belonged to your father or grandfather that you are saving for you kids. Whether these old calls are of monetary value or merely a keepsake they deserve to be cared for and/or displayed in your den or game room rather than getting beat up in a a box full of junk.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone with a similar interest in collecting game calls, or from those of you who have an appreciation for vintage game calls which have been a part of our hunting history. You can view some of the calls I have collected and others I have for sale by going to my new website at:
