have you gone on your sheep hunt yet?

Plane companies would probably tell you where some herds are, buy the pilot a beer

Try "dick" lake, good spot, there are many others in that vicinity. have to ask the pilots in the dease lake area about it, isn't lited on a map. most of those lakes in the vicinity of the kawdy plateau are good.

You have probaly read or already know a big bull caribou at the end of Sept IMO are not edible. It is pretty much a trophy hunt then. Good luck

Bear meat is actually good though. Be hard pressed to mask rut caribou flavour by making sausage out of it.

yup....we did have firewood,, and did see one moose up that high..a cow..some #%##&#^^* big grizzly tracks and of course the Booner boo that Andy harvested..Phils was a tad smaller..

But during the 10 day hunt 3 other booners were shot "in the vicinity"..

a book stone sheep was harvested close by only weeks later..our meat pole is still up, good water..and the results of the boo hunt Priceless..

You will see lots of moose up in the alpine where you see the Caribou, but good luck packing a whole moose off of a mountain without horses.

Thinking about doing my first fly in hunt this fall. I've considered north of Dease lake somewhere... High Tuya lake, Butte lake, or maybe one of those unnamed lakes in that area. Can anyone share some info on the quality of these locations?

You need to bring your own wood in and an efficient small wood stove makes a trip way more enjoyable
