Well the time has finally come to have my goat mounted up. I shot him a few years ago and took out enough cape for a shouler mount including front legs for possible half body mount but I'm not convinced on the half mount....yet. I was wondering If those who have goats mounted if they could post some pictures so I can decide on how I want to mount him. Also if you dont mind attatching the name and town of your taxidermist as I am not partial to Kelowna taxis and am willing to send it away in order to get the quality i'm looking for.

Hope everyones is coping with the hunting withdrawls alright....I know i'm itching to get out shed hunting!!

Here is a pic of the goat

Spend a few minutes on google. There are a tone of pics of different goat mounts.

Ray Wiens is great to deal with and does great work, Odd Aasland in Cranbrook does really nice work as well....

Planning on doing a half mount when I get my goat. It will be a pedastal mount with the goat laying down. I havent seen a goat done like it yet but did see an antelope and really liked the looks of it. May be an idea for ya.

I am currently having my 2010 billy done by B. Killback in Kaleden. It will be a half mount. It was shot in early Dec. so I will have a while to wait for it. From everything I've heard they are supposed to make very impressive mounts.

Saw this mount at our local awards banquet a couple of years ago. Cool old retro look with the trapper nelson and antique bino's very cool, Work was done by Aasland taxidermy here in Cranbrook.

Blaker 99,
My next Billy will be a corner pedistal style goat on the boulder with one leg tucked under the other over hanging. Very impressive ! Expensive though too.

Check out Taxi's web sites with option positions.

They are a magnificent critter that should be done up nice for you.

Congrats on getting one, they provide a great hunt.
