Hungry guy like that might not be so afraid of a couple small kids.

Aside from the lack of frothing at the mouth... you sure it aint rabid? I wouldn't have turned my back on it like that.

Must be used to being near that camp he was walking back too, but I would not allow that to go on , you never know what might happen next. It might be rabid, not worth taking a chance

Dam scary this animal should be put down if there was a young human that came in contact with the yote it might have been a different outcome ,real good video footage and yes you where scared of the yote when filming.

Time to put it down. It has lost the fear of man and once that happens, then it becomes a threat to anyone that is not ready for it.

That coyote is obviously very hungry.
Someone should feed him.

......some lead or maybe some copper.

I bet that yote is constantly fed by others in the camp and has learned that 2-legged creature means food, he looked healthy, non-rabid and confused more than anything.

My thoughts too. Unfortunate that man has to do this time and time again. When will we ever learn???? Never.

Ditto, nothing rabid or hungry looking about that healthy looking yote, just very habitualized to humans by the look of it. Just shoot it, and be done with any future problems that may occure with an unsuspecting travely/visitor to the are.

You'd have to think that little bugger would take a run at someones kid, given the chance. Talk about gutsy.

I have to disassociate myself with this video, it was a clip I saw online while looking for something else. Thought it would be of interest for HBC'ers to watch. It sounds like the 2 people in the video are from Northern BC somewhere.

It wouldn't have been chewin on my boots ....I would have blasted the little prick!!!

If that was a truly hungry wild yote (ribs showing) the camera man would have lost his little pink fingers in the first ten seconds of that video. I have seen what 2-3 months of habitual "lunch time feeding" does to yotes, foxes and ravens and yotes are by far the most dangerous, they will close the distance between thier mouth and the food 3 times faster than any domestic dog but they don't stop and wait for you to give it to them...they take it.

DON'T feed them hot dogs, trust me it's not a good idea...when your out of dogs the yote will think you have ten left, and the fun ends pretty quick after that.

X2! Exactly what I was thinking.

I wouldn't feel comfortable having my kids around or pets for that matter knowing a yote that doesn't fear people is around. The idiot that's been feeding him needs a swift kick to the plumbs!

I just took care of a nuisance yote for the same reasons.
Too bad people think its cool to feed them. Then when they get tired of the game or the yote gets to close they end up getting shot.
Its one thing to go yote hunting and shoot a few. Its just not fun when you have to shoot one because people are dumb and feed them.
