Finally, a video of elk hunting that shows you keys to success.......

First off, Movement is the critical part of hunting...If you do not move, the critters will not spook......

Secondly, scent control...This guy was fine until the poop ran out his pant leg, then the elk smelled him and took off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would have been awesome if the bull would have bugled that close to him...That would have been a guaranteed underwear change....

Thanks for posting.....

Watched a "bull madness" bowhunting video (or whatever the heck it was called... I forget now) but the hunter had a bull do the same thing, came up and sniffed his hat then took off. Buddy of mine had one within 5 feet of him during bowseason. Said it was quite the experience, would be very cool but also a little bit unnerving

Doesn't get more intense than that. I had a 6X4 walk past me at 1 yard one time and was able to snap shoot my compound into his side before he could shy away. Not my biggest bull but definitely my most memorable!!:-D I just rolled around on the ground for awhile after, the adrenaline rush was so high.

I had one that close in thicker bush that SCREAMED and stamped the ground, when he figured it out he BACKED away from me and gave me no shot. Second coolest moment I've ever had hunting.

Even if he didn't get a shot at it. That would still be fun. It's even on video, How cool is that.

I saw both these vids before. I was waiting on that elk to do something! He looked pretty shocked to see this random, strange looking, and smelling stump in the middle of his path.. lmao!

The moose, though. Dude damn near didn't come home from that trip!

That was like my first experience with a large buck, I was 11 and was sitting about 20 yards away from my dad when i heard something that sounded like our deer call so i just thought it was my dad, 4 seconds later a huge 3x3 buck walks 5 yards in front of my and i racked a 30-30 in and i counted his tines ( this is also to date my worst experience) and there were 3. it was the last day and the regs said 4 or more bucks..

Amazing! I bet the elk was wondering what that loud thumping noise was... (i mean the guy's heart). He must've been holding his breath or the bull would've smelled it for sure.
