Last Shots of the Season for now... Pins...

My dad pulled me out of school early today to go out and spend our last day in the blind, you know what its like, you know how i felt when the principal came to get me from class to meet my dad out front with the truck and a smile on his face. I wonder what his excuse was he said it was private.

anyways we got out to the blind around 4:00 and waited till dark, they came in as usual, but the two big flocks that we dropped were pins! i know for some that is common but i have only shot 1 drake in my lifetime and there they were at our feet! what a night a little soggy though but a great close to the season!

nice sprigs boys!! your story brings back fond memories of when my old man would yank me out of class the same way. some of my best waterfowling memories come from those days...cuz if he was pulling me out of school it was when the weather was ideal!

That is a great story. I would have loved to be pulled out of school for a hunt. I will be pulling my boy out for sure when the time comes. Thx and good shooting:)

That will stick with ya for a while, Dad pullin you out of school.
When i was a kid, brushing my teeth as dad was getting ready for what i thought was work. He said "You wanna go fishin?" I said "I gotta go to school" he said " You wanna go fishin instead?"

We hit the Biq "Q" came home late with a load, found out he forgot to tell mom what we were doin. She freaked.

Awesome!! Great way to end the season eh! Getting a pintail mounted? We went out to the lower field Fri. morning, mostly widgeon for us.
