Dreaming about a trip up North and just wondering what the population of Caribou is like near Atlin? Is it good Caribou hunting up there? Also whats the fishing like? I heard they have HUGE lake trout?
Thanks for any Advice

Caribou near Atlin are LEH only and tough to get a draw. Went from 45 permits down to 8 a couple years ago, back up to 15ish I think, odds are ~40:1.
Easy access though, and some dandy bulls around. Fishing is great. Really pretty country.

Ya sorry just reread the regs looks like nice area to be though, so would you think my best bet would be around dease lake? or.....
Ive never been up that area before but I want to do a big trip after I graduate university, see the world kinda thing, maybe go as far as alberta.
I have a limited budget but a good truck and a good pair of boots and not scared of using either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
