Is it Legal to Bait ? [Archive]

Does anyone know if it is legal to bait for Coyote hunting in BC, specifically in region 6. I did look through the regs but I couldn't find where it says it if is legal or not.

I think it is; but I believe you are only allowed to use Road Runners as bait?

You can bait everything except bears.

Its clear as oatmeal in the regs. Bait anything you want...except the ursuses.

All depends what your using for bait and where you got the bait, lol .

no baiting is allowed.or else every one would have salt licks at there favorite hunting spot,and plant alfalfa every where, for coyotes all you need is predator calls,or buy a chicken tie a string to its leg and shot yotes as they come for it.sounds fun!:)

Maybe you should read the regulations.

Not as easy as it sounds. They'll eat your alfalfa and lick your salt all night and when shooting light comes you'll see nothing but tracks.

Can't bait bears or migratory game birds, everything else use what you want.

Make up some meat popsicle's. Or PM TodBartell. He knows how to make'em. Or go onto Preditorhuntcanada. and read some threads.
They work good for baiting.:mrgreen:.
