Me too, 40 plus yrs of droppin animals, too hard to keep track but they were all with a 303 British, 06, and 300 WM.

Too many to remember (translated " my memory is bad"). Lots of moose, handfull of dear and bear, all but the first two dear with a Browming A-Bolt 300 WM. The first two were with a borrowed 308 in a savage lever action with a rotary mag (I think it was a Savage 99).

All my moose were shot with my 30-06.

Deer and moose with a 1917 Lee-Enfield .303 and then in 1982 I got a Ruger M77 in .270 Win for my birthday, more deer and a couple of moose with that. My newly acquired 1956 Husqvarna 1600 Lightweight in 30.06 hasn't been christened yet, it'll go into action next season! Too many grouse to count and sacks of snowshoe hares with a single shot Brazilian CIL 12 gauge, full choke, and my Remington 870 Express, 12 gauge, usually choked modified. My newly acquired Ithaca Model 37 16 gauge, full choke, has a date with the birds and rabbits next season...

Nothing personal, but isn't that still considered part of the hunt/hunting :confused: I wouldn't want to go "finding" a wounded Grizzly Bear with a 12 gauge in my hand. I think I would want the appropriate firearm. I'm not trying to pry, but am I missing something here? Is this legal to do ? I don't know, and this is why I'm asking. I've never shot a Grizzly Bear before.

It wasn't a hunt at all but the after math of a grizz charge, before this I thought a 12ga was big medicine for bear but after that encounter I rely on my .338 WM exclusively
