If you have one, what one is it, how much can it weigh and are you happy with it ?
I know there are lots of cheap $40 junk ones with hit and miss reviews, maybe some are good I dont know, but like always, I'm not looking to buy twice.
Thanks

Grouse River sells Allen scales , not sure how much now , mine works good , lift up to 550lbs, little bit more than I can lift

use my electric winch in barn to hoist , hook on to scale , lower winch and voila

Thanks ruger I'll take a look. Did you weigh a 20lb cannon ball or anything to see how accurate it is ?
I'm always curious what I get off a boned out deer, elk quarters, occassional bear etc.
I have a few buddys who need a reality check on their field dressed blacktails too, I bet I can pay for it 5 X in a month with won bets

Ha Blacktail I bet you could make $ doing that, It is amazing how a blacktail weight reality check can make a lot of hunters blush.

Normally the hanging weight is about 1/3 that of the live weight so you might want to look for a scale that shows live weight, dressed weight, hanging weight in increments. Seem to find that difference between the skinned/dressed meat at camp and the 10-day hang period looses about 25% so your 250 blacktail is reduced to about 185. :-D
