Heres a photo of my 2010 buck. My brother Steve, Dana and myself found this buck Nov. 20th and were able to put him on the ground on the 21st. Having a brother and good hunting partner there to share in the harvest of an awesome typical mule deer was priceless. Definitely beats shooting a big buck 5+ kilometers from your truck and thinking that you cant wait to get back to camp and show them the buck. Having those 2 guys there really made the hunt that much better! As we packed the deer off the hill i had the opportunity to watch that big bull elk Dana has pictures of from new years and i must say that bull is way more impressive in person! He fed less than 100 yards from us right in a wide open cutblock, couldnt believe it!

The buck grosses 195" and nets over 192" right now. Hopefully he nets over 190" after 60 days .

Beauty buck. Which two are brothers???
Im in the middle and the guy on the left side of your computer screen is my brother. Had we all been standing it'd be much more obvious :D. Whenever i take field photos i have to dig a hole and stand in it just to get my head in the shot...

Nope, my Freak buck was the 4th buck I saw all season up till that point. Amazing how a tuff season can turn around in a matter of a few days. I can tell ya that Matt's buck was first true target buck I'd seen since the fall of 2007. That is 3 years of hunting hard and scouting hard with no real gaggers being spotted. I was stoked to finally see a target buck and then Matt had to go kill it the next day. When we saw that buck the evening before, I knew either Matt or Steve were going to get it on the ground the next day. Sometimes you just have that feeling. Was stoked to be right there when it all went down.

Its true. Although some of us in camp saw a couple big ones.

2007 - hunt hard in an area that was increasingly getting more big rubs and sign as the week wore on but never saw a big one at all ... the day I left, a few guys from camp went into the bush I was hunting and Dana dropped the eyeguard buck!

Matt and I had our Dads out in 2008 and neither Dad's saw much at all and it wasn't until day 6 or 7 that I finally got onto a cranker after fresh snow and bumped him in his bed amongst blow down and a chase ensued with a few tricks on the bucks part and a few days later Matt had his chance. Driving out we did see a half decent 165-170ish buck.

2009 produced a few distant buck sightings one day but no bonafide crankers .... over did it one day in thigh deep snow on a mountain and strained something that forced me to treestand hunt a couple days .... still saw some bucks and Matt did see a gooder.

2010 Did not go to Clearwater.

Late november racks dont shrink or lose very much at all!

They have been drying since the velvet came off in september!

I didnt notice any loss of measures on my buck, in fact the official scorer came up with a score 1 inch higher than anyone else that had taped it, from the day I killed him!

But Ill cross my fingers for ya anyways! :)
