It appears my wife and I will Finally be able to go on a spring turkey hunt.
I'm thinking the area of 4-2, and the S part of 4-22, mainly because I am somewhat familiar with that area. I used to fish some of the smaller lakes there, but that was 20+ years ago.

Is the area mentioned a reasonable place to look for(and find) turkey, or would an area with more farmland be better? I've only hunted turkey once before, and that was in the foothills of S. AB.

It may seem early to be planning this, but planning is part of the fun, and I like to have all the bases well covered.
Please feel free to pm me if you prefer, thank you for your reply.

Depends on if your wanting to cook it with the skin on or not. Other than that just pull everything out of the body cavity( keeping any bits you want ), cut the feet and head off then pluck or skin.

Check out the thread called turkey contest. There is a list of guys on there that should be able to answer most questions on turkey hunting. You could also get in on the contest if you want. I'm sure any team mates you get will be very willing to help out.
