That's a Sask buck and nope, no where near the World Record. Don't get me wrong, it is a monster typical, but it takes a real FREAK of NATURE to ever beat the Burris Buck. That buck is lacking in a lot of areas when it comes to making that claim.

can anyone identify the empty beer cans on the shelf in the background ?,

that might be a big help in a geographical pinpoint location of the kill! lol

looks like some Blues' and some Kokanees' to me!

They look like Kokanee cans to me, and yes I am a professional. Maybe to be safe we should defer to my colleague Gatehouse for a 2nd opinion.

looks like some Blues' and some Kokanees' to me! If you zoom in looks like 6 Kokanee, 2 Millers and 2 Molson .5's and a Bottle of Gods knows what! Looks like Helter Skelter written in blood just behind the guy too!!! I wonder how that poor Deer Died???

This is a BC Buck (peace country) and is the new #1 Typical I believe (someone with the new book can confirm). Here is photo from the Wildlife Records Club of BC. Scores Net 209.

So if this buck was infact shot in Saskabush, why I ask are those beer cans on that shelf not Pilsner cans with little white rabbits on them? Curious, very curious indeed.
