Confused

Read in a Kerlowna paper a few weeks ago about a moose count that was going to take place in that vicinity. Anyone have results, has it happened, is it still going on??
Thanks,
Chuck

don't know all the details but I believe the helicopter crashed with 4 men onboard. No one thankfully was hurt to bad but the count is off due to lack of another copter....boooooo

Correction to the helicopter crash: 3 men and one woman. Crashed while counting moose at 8-11.
They did see lots of moose before the crash.

Probably 2 days of flying left. Results and paper will be available in Jan-feb.

Anything anectodal? As expected, good, bad, status quo?

The crash slowed things a bit, but there's a more experienced pilot taking over now. :)

This pilot is a hero. Due to his skills, everybody walked away from this crash.

Weird, I have not heard about the crash. Was this with Alpine?

Tough to say before everything is done - best to wait for the numbers. Hate to start a rumour.

Something to do with the tail or tail roter being lost/detached, made the choper spind out og control for about 20 seconds, before landing hard in a clearcut.
I believe it was a Bell 206 Jet Ranger.
