if deer hunting I use my truck canopy. I build a platform on top of the box put a big matress on there and all the equipment goes underneath works great. :-D:-D

For me my truck ,tent ,camper ,I use my truck for a spike camp saves me having to travel many miles back to camp then having to head back the next morning.

Staying in my truck that night saves me lots of fuel as for traveling time I have found some animals in the area so why leave to go back to camp.

I will have to head back the next morning anyways I pack a cooler loaded with food when I plan on staying in my truck that night ..

Whatever I'm hunting, I stay in my 12'x14' wall tent. My hunting trailer has enough room for one quad and a cooler that will accommodate 2 moose. If im hunting the north end of the Island then I'll phone my cousin who lives in Woss and stay at his cabin on Woss Lake.

This is a shot of the new lodge, no more flapping tents or mice to keep you from gettin a good nights sleep. Sleeps four, totally insulated, air tight keeps you nice and comfortable and dries your clothing in a hurry. Hauls 3 quads with a 10,000 gvw. 20ft by 8.5 with extra height. Fridge, freezer and a forced air furnace included. During big bucks this year it was 27 inside with an outside temp of -27. Priceless!!!

All my hunting is done within a 100 km. radius of our place in Tulameen so I sleep in a very nice, cosy warm bed surrounded by all the luxuries of home.
Heck, sometimes I'm close enough to pop back for lunch and then head out again.

Regular tents at the start of the year. This season we set up an 18x22 wall tent for the last month of November. Man was that cozy! At times we've used a 5th wheel while moose hunting.

I usually sleep in my bed, wake up and drive 10-30 mins and hunt, but if I go up north on a moose trip I take the wall tent or the motorhome so we can party it up.....cheers

I usually stay in the cabin right next to the main ranch house, that's on one of the ranch's that I have permission to hunt on.

If not, I have a 24 ft travel trailer I use, if staying for a week or more, but find it to be a pain in the ass for weekend trips, so for these I just put the 3/4 " plywood platform with a mattress in the canopy of my 4x4, crack the windows a smidgen, have the heater in there, and set up a quick shelter for the outside gear. This way I can stay and hunt right on the mountain at all times. Sometimes I yank my utilty trailer with me too, as it's good for animal transfer and what not.

This year a cabin. Last few years a nice camper and before that a little 16' trailer. The downside of a cabin is there's no desire to get up early.

Big tent if I'm next to the truck...small tent when I'm carrying it on my back.

Here was home on the 2010 bison hunt. My 14 X 16 wall tent, a stove and a -40 Woods Sleeping Bag beats the heck out of a cold steel truck box at -39 degrees.

Course we couldn't get Jaimie's Pink Mtn. Motor Inn to deliver breakfast to us way out there so we had to fend for ourselves......

In the truck or in a regular tent for me. Sometimes a wall tent if someone brings one out.

This hauls 4 Quads, and sleeps 4 guys. It can carry 7000 lbs inside it . After this it is a wall tent, then down to a 2 man polyester cave for spike camps!!

Trailerguy:

Before it is too late, sell your trailer! Give it away, burn it, or leave it in the ditch somewhere, but whatever you do, get rid of it and save yourself......
"Even the wife will stay in it."
This is one of the scariest and dangerous comments I've heard on this forum to date! :)

I have stayed in everything from under the stars to a travel trailer and everything in between. Wall tents are my favorite
