Took these this spring. Though some may like looking at big rams as much as I do.

Has everyone seen the Cadomin archery ram shot this year? I think it just started making its rounds on the intraweb... I could post it if someone twists my arm.
Ps. Nice pics!

I was wondering if we might see Archie's ram in one of Stoneguide's pics....but I think Archie's ram has a shallower curl and is much tighter to the face than any of these rams.

Archies ram is supposed to be 187B/C. And your right he is a real tight curl. Still an awesome ram and one of the biggest to be killed in Alberta this fall.

Of course us old "Coal Branch" guys know that the old mine site is actually Luscar, not Cadomin, but the rams, elk and deer are all awesome on that reclamation diet. (clover and good quality hay attracts them.)

Ya but if you say Luscar most dont know where that is.
Many think the diet is the huge factor and it does help for sure. But You look at many areas of the National parks that have bighorn population and you will see rams as big or bigger just not in the numbers. The lush growth helps for sure but it more helps sustain the large populations.
You look at rams that used to come out of other areas of Alberta and BC and you will see lots of big ram genetics, put these rams in a closed area and see what you produce. Look what was in the Sheep River Sanctuary before the disease, look at the rams Montana has, lots of Alberta genetics there. What makes them rams big is the controlled seasons and closed areas. They arent roaming on reclaimed mines but are producing 190 - 200" sheep.
