It seems to me that this year, more bears are falling down in June, than in may. I know that most people have said that they start hunting bears in May, but it seems to be that the bears are more active now, and the bigger boys are coming out of the woodwork as mating season is arriving?

thoughts?

Nice fur in May:-D . Big boars in June:cool: .
June-Even if they're not rubbed the underfur is not very thick.

Not to mention the boars are in the mood for love in June. Move around a little more

Seems like it was cooler this year in alot of places I checked out for bears there was still snow in the higher places into may.
I even managed to get stuck in a small patch of snow that i thought if I got enough speed up I could get through:oops:

We tried one last try yesterday in behind Murray lake. you can count on one hand the scat we saw, both on the road and on the trails. Me thinks they have all gone to the community love shack!!! We did see a nice very dark brown youngster not quite 5ft but he had other ideas. OH well roll on Sept!!!
