Antler Characteristics - Hereditary??

Buckmeisters thread on genetics got me thinking............Do you think antler characteristics are passed down through with genetics. No talking about a monster buck but even just the shape, color, typical, non-typical. The reason I ask is that I have taken two bucks on the same hill, with very similar horn configuration. Narrow and Tall, with a very dark color. These were taken 11 years apart. Coincidence or genetics. Thoughts??

Antlers are genetic just like any other physical trait. I've shot bucks off the same hill years apart with the same nearly identical racks. Even the 2 in my trail cam avi this year were very similar. Let's see some pics!

I'll post some, just have to take a good one of the older one
