2010 Whitetail

Well after holding out for what seamed to be forever this guy walked infront of me at 55 yards and I down he went! The morning started off pretty slow so i moved to another one of my spots for the afternoon hunt. On the walk in a jumped a decent 5 point out of his bed only to bring him back in with a couple short grunts and a crack of my rattling antlers. After playing with him for about 10 minutes i decided i better get into my spot. set my climber up and was 25ft up the tree before I knew it. Within minutes a nice family came by.....doe 2 cute fawns and a little basket 4 point, all walked right under my stand. After they cleared I started my grunt, rattle, and doe bleat sequence. As i hung my antlers back up all i could hear was one pissed off deer about 50 yards above me in the thick timber. Snort snort snort a couple steps and there he came just stormin down the trail as if there were a couple bucks fighting in his area that he wanted to kick the crap out of!! He took a couple more steps into a small oppening and i let him have it. He ended up being my third biggest whitetail taken in BC. A nearly perfectly symetrical 5x5 with an outside spread of 21 3/4" nice tall G2 and G3's and good long main beams. Finished up the european mount on him today and he'll be going on the skull hooker tonight!! A great end to an awsome year.

Mark, yes he was an archery buck. Most of our hunting now is archery besides the odd rifle hunt here and there. He makes P&Y not sure if i'll enter him but I just got him on the skull hooker in my games room and he looks awsome!
