Well myself and a couple of buddies headed north on the 19 of November to see if we could put a couple of deer in the pot. We ended up in Hudsons Hope and set up the wall tent for the week.

I know that light little stoves are all the rage, but when your tent it 100 lbs a heavy warm stove to go in it doesnt bug me.
As the temp headed down to -29 we slept well with the stove we nicknamed the Devils Breath pumping out the heat. The deer were enjoying the full moon at night so the daylight hours where a little sparse for game. On the third day I say my first decent whitey and touched the trigger on him.

We hunted for 2 more days, all seeing legal bucks, just not anything else we felt ready to put in the truck. On the last afternoon one of the guys felt that a tasty young whitey was to good to resist and he took a fine mess of deer steak down.

We saw alot of nice country, found out that the wall tent is just fine in -30, and brought home some game, life is good enough for me!!

Great job boys. It looks like it might be a bit chilly in the morning until the stove fired up but that's what a good sleeping bag and wool socks are for.

Thanks for posting the pics.

the older fella has a prostate thing going on so he was up every 2 and a half hours to stoke the stove!

Nice animals you got on your hunting trip congrats ,I love the country you are hunting in good for glassing and long shots ,wall tents are the only way to go when hunting in minus temperatures http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon6.gif.

Looks like a great trip. Better than staying in a motel or doing day hunts - the wall tent is definitely the way to go for this type of hunting IMO.
