I use the cheap Moultrie Cams from Walmart. Not the greatest pic quality but because of the low cost I can get several. They show me whats in the area, and when and I don't sweat leaving them out because I didn't spend big$$$ on them

Just my 2 cents

I use the sponsors off this website. The Scoutguard cameras. They are awesome for the price and the battery life is amazing. I will be buying more of these in the future no doubt about it.

Truth Cam 35- great night and day pics-easy to count the points on bucks, great battery life (haven't tried video yet)

Moultrie 5.0- great battery life, terrible blurry still shots-even worse at night, alright grainy video- all I use it for, very sensitive to wind

I am planning on getting another Truth Cam as I think the Primos stuff is okay and reasonably priced.

I use moultrie i40's. You can't usually buy them from stores anymore as they are being phased out for the new models. But I know walmart sells a ir 55 or something along those lines for 150$. If you would like to see my pictures just search for my threads from this past summer/fall. You will see how the quality is on the cameras. Also depending on the camera you purchase and how "safe" you feel leaving them out there you can buy steel lock boxes to put them into. One site to give you an example of what I am talking about it is http://www.camlockbox.com (http://www.camlockbox.com/)

I have two Moultrie D-55 IR trail cams. Both work great! Easy set-up, time and date stamp, temperature stamp, and even moon phase stamp on every picture. Incredible battery life, changed them once this season! Some pictures are blurry when the aminals are moving quickly, but I set mine to take pictures in three round bursts.

I also have a Wildgame Innovations IR4. Date and time stamped, pretty simple display and set-up. Only issue with it is the cheap bungee cords they give you for mounting them to trees. Mine broke in the first week! Nothing some haywire couldnt fix.

I got 2 of these, best bang for your buck on trial cameras i'd say. only runs on 4 AA batteries aswell!

Basically, if you don't care about the quality so much ,then buy some cheapies at walmart for 100.00. They dont give you a crisp picture but they let you know when and where the animals are. If you want quality then spend about 250-350 per camera like some others have posted.

I have a bushel trophy and a tasco. Both work great, I've got great day and night pics. The bushel has a bit further range I think but it is double the price. Bushnell was $240 and tasco was $120. The battery life in both are great but the bushel takes 8 AAs while the tasco takes 4 AAs. I'd suggest the tasco only because it is half the price.

I use the Moultrie I had 5 of them and never had a problem with them except theft on two of them .

If I get a trail cam stolen at this price I am not going to loose a pill of money to replace the trail cam this trail tells me what time the animal passed by and what kind of animal it was thats all I need to know..

They take not to bad of pictures for the price you pay ,I paid $130.00 with tax you also get a memory card reader with the camera ,here are a few pictures from this trail cam a month ago..

Those tascos dont look too bad!
Almost hard to believe because everything else tasco makes is shit
Might try one...
I used to make my own but a p.i.t.a after all the work and trying to source the specific digital camera I like to use, wait for all the parts to ship and then hack it... to have them stolen

These pictures are all from my Cuddeback Capture with a Flash... I like the picture quality better with a flash, just a little harder to place where no-one sees the flash... This camera works to -25 degrees too and many others won't even come close to that...
