It's almost the end of another season and Kent Outdoors with High Caliber Taxidermy are holding the second annual Heads Up Scoring Session. It will be at Kent Outdoors in Agassiz on December 11th & 12th. This is a FREE event and everyone is welcome to bring in their trophies. There will be an official scorer again, so you will have the oppertunity to have your trophy entered in the books. Remember a trophy is different in everyones eyes and most of all, please bring your stories! Thanks to everyone who came last year and made it a successful event.

Do you know if I can bring in my whitetail (that I shot out of province) to have it officially scored? just so that I know the score.

You can bring in any animal from North America for Boone & Crockett but for the BC Book it must be from BC.

There not gonna score high enough for B&C, I've always wondered about them.

Can you bring just the rack, or is the head/skull needed to score?

T-BONE I believe jerry has some draws and prises too REALLY last year they said the bigest buck gets a free day of fishing -- well my buddy had the two bigest bucks and one was B+C --- and he is still waiting for his fishing trip --- i dont want no backlash from this but if they offer a prise or what ever at least give what is offered ---- me i think that is crap

The Kent Outdoors prize draw results were posted last year. The winners were very happy to receive their prizes. Here is the thread from last year: http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=43828&highlight=buck+contest

We are looking forward to seeing everyone and all the racks that are coming in! It will be a great weekend for anyone that wants to drop by.

Deerstocker, Unfortunately your buddy was not the biggest deer brought in to the session in 2009. They were tremendous deer but it was a 237" mule deer brought down from Hope. It will be on display all weekend this year. Hope to see everyone at the session. Muleycatcher, sorry to hear you will not be making it, I would have liked you to bring down your buck. There will be no need for apointments but it wouldn't hurt to call. Last year was a great turnout i'm sure the snow wont hinder us this year. See you at Kent Outdoors.

Well we're all set up and ready to go! We can't wait to see all the racks & skulls that are going to show up and the stories that will come in with them.

We have coffee on all day, so come down to show off a set of antlers, see how scoring is done and shoot the breeze. It will be worth the drive out either for today or Sunday.
