Whoever told me about soaking late season buck liver in milk was spot-on.

Sliced off a healthy portion and submersed them in milk for an hour.

Awesome! Best liver yet.

I think that was me .... we soak it and change the milk a few times.
We leave it over night ... never had bad liver yet !!!

works on steaks too. enzyme in the milk breaks the meat down, like a tenderizer.

Thanks Wildprotien. I will leave it longer next time and might buy some buttermilk.
