7 - 2 Elk 2011? Worth trying?

Soo, i'm already thinking about Elk next season.. it may take a year to convince some of my family to get together for it. I missed my trip due to a wedding/bachelor party I attended. I'm REALLY wanting to get an Elk for the family as none of us have had elk more than once. I was supposed to try 7 - 2, closer than the Kootenays. Though I have since been told much of the area is privately owned and it may likely be too hard to get permission.


Thoughts?
Experiences?

What you've heard about much of the areas in the valley bottom are privately owned is true.

That said, not many bulls are in the valley bottom when the season is on and don't show up until winter time. Think like the Kootenays and get up high and way back in the side valleys away from the main valley for the bulls.
