Near CR, I've heard alot of talk about ''The Hump'' off Cape Mudge, however after weeks on google I've not seen any reference to exactly where the hump is. Could anyone be so kind as to pin point on a map the exact location of ''The Hump''?.

Any help would be excellently appreciated. I've been hearing Hali's have been caught as by catch on it, and that there's some good Spring fishing there, even in winter.

Thanks

The "hump" is SW of the Red Bouy.Look at a marine chart and it will show you the location. Or stop in to Tyee Marine or River Sportsman and they can point it out to you..

You can see where it is in the summer as that is where all the boats are stacked up fishing.

Look for the blue haze in summer.

Well I was actually thinking on fishing it for some winter springs if at all possible. Hoping to get out far before summer.
Any good stories from the hump?

Bring some spare cannonballs and wire till you get a feel for the hump.

Just look for the boats, always boats there.
Great fishing, troll the edge of the rips when it slows down after the slacks.
Watch your 'balls' though, funky stuff goes on down there in the currents.
OLR12 hootchies @ 187' always work well as well as any green/glo 'yote spoon (4") for that time of the year.
Its one of the few areas where a regular hootchie and needle fish hootchie WONT fish the same (results)
That being said I like plugs for winter springs too, tends to pick up the bigger fish.

Wasn't going to target any Hali there until it's re-open. Just thought I'd try and get a feel for it for some winters for now.
Thanks for all the tips everyone :)

If I'm not mistaken we used to call it the outer kelp bed when I lived there.

winter spring fishing is better off willow point or shelter point close to the kelp begs using buck-tails:-D
