Hey all just a quick question about entry to pope&young. If your native and wanted to enter a species into that record do you still need a hunter# or can you use a government issued First Nations registry#?

P&Y have a website and likely show rules and contact info where you may ask questions.

Any of the record books (P&Y or B&C) will require a copy of a hunting license and a cancelled tag. If you dont have that you are out of luck.

I have never sent in a copy of hunting license or tag to P&Y. They simply require affidavits that you have taken it with a bow and arrow, (not a crossbow), and that it was under fair chase (ie not behind a high fence). If an animal was taken outside of regular hunting seasons that are open to everyone that might not be considered fair chase under their rules. I think it says something about being a government managed season.

Got something to enter? Post up a pic or two...we'd love to see it.
