Stopped on the way home and snapped some pics of the sheep at spences. This was the biggest one. There was 3 other rams and lots of ewes. Spent the weekend with Bigbore14 looking for 4 points. Lots of tracks and does but we did not see any bucks except for a nice one in some ones truck.

Nice picks, Brew. Anyone care to age that one? Looks like he's got some cysts or old wounds on him.

Tough to tell from the photo but maybe just burrs from thistle or other plant?

Crazy tight curl on that ram, I think he is young, 4.5 or he has had absolutely terrible growth this year? I now see how you could get 6 out of him, I was hesitant to call that first ring 2 with the whole bighorn lambtip length debate...

The truck was a red crewcab chev. The buck wasn't huge but a nice 4 point. Saw some really good sign and massive rubs in one area that I was tracking some fresh prints in. Wish I coulda stayed for a week

Burrs on his back and I'm guessing 6.5 yrs as well. Nice pictures!

Is there a Tim Hortons in Spences bridge?
They could call it "The Home of the Donut""
Very apropos.
Nice pics, I can never drive by there without rolling out and taking some shots either. And yes, burrs in the fur not sores.

The ram is six years old. I saw three like that in a group of a dozen rams on the last few days of the season. Give him a few more years then he will be a nice ram.

To each his own, but those rams will never amount to anything. The good genes are most likely shot off. The curl will never get wider, and never get outside the eye, and the more it grows the more it will get broomed. They look great from the back because they have decent mass. Good nutrition only goes so far. Nice photo ops though! They're always camera whores, that band. ;-)
Once again, nice pics, thx for sharing!

No I am still looking for it. But brew did take me to his. In -25 degrees. On quads. Froze my nads off. Showed me where he plugged his last year.

Good shots of the ram though. Didn't realize it was so tight a curl.

And yeah. I agree 6.5 if it was born in the spring.

Pretty much a given for any free range animals, hence some guys dont even bother mentioning the 1/2 year!
