We hunted this place hard for two weeks. Today was the big pay off. We seen one deer . Then I went to the end of the cut and seen another. After 20 min of using the doe bleat and rattling I motioned to Takla that I was going to the higher cut block, He gave me the thumbs up and away I went. I got to the higher cut and started to rattle. Did it for a half hour. And nothing, So I was going to go to the top of the cut and head into the woods, When I looked down hill and seen a big bodies deer with a swollen neck. About 600yrd away. So I kept rattling and then at about 800 or over yards straight down I see another deer . So I stop rattling and watch. The bigger deer runs down to the other and then they start pushing each other around. So I try two shots on one of them and they keep fighting. I then started to rattle and they break off. Try two shots at the big one and nothing , Straight down hill and about 600yards. I head down to them and the big one runs in the woods, The other one runs down the road. Check for blood from the big one and NIL like my LEH draws. The smaller one went down the road and I found my two shots. Looks like under his belly. So then I head up the road to Takla. About a five minute walk and half way threw I hear two shots. So now I am running. He is up a little hill looking. Good deal he nailed this three pointer. We cleaned it up and put it in the truck. Then drove to the end of the cut to turn around. I noticed something in the snow where We always rattle. We looked and both confirmed cougar tracks. We always look behind us when calling. I think we will be looking a little more. We were up high as the eagles soar, And we seen allot of them.

Nicely done! Pretty sure I recognize that general area, and have seen lots of tracks and rubs in there! Nice to know I wasn't imagining things!

Tough to read, as it is...

If you go back ot the thread and hit edit, and then after each picture hit enter, it will stack the pics on top of each otehr rather than side by side in the monstrous panoramic view....:-D

I will read it and comment after its corrected, I just cant follow the sotory as its laid out....
