Not much of a bowhunter, but I was watching WILD TV and saw a woman poke a hole in a nice WT at 85 yards. Perfect shot, and it dropped quick.

The new compounds are truly amazing...:-D

Thats absolutely having no respect for the animal , what kind of hunter does she think she is...only gives us good bow hunters a bad name , damn her damn her...taking a bow shot over 4 yards is shamefull..shame shame shame.....

Pretty amazing how far some guys can shoot bows fairly accurately.

Heck, she wasn't using a long bow or a crossbow!

Modern compound, 85 yards, from a ground blind. She made a perfect shot, and I was impressed!

35 yards longer than I have killed a deer or bear with a rifle in 3 years!:-D

At the speeds those new bows are putting out these days it's not impossible to kill a deer that far away - it's just not the thing to advertise on TV for all the wannabe's to see and to try.

Ground blinds seem to be a good idea, lets the deer get in range without the bow hunter spooking them, gis good opportunity for shots long and short.. Do many BC bowhunters use ground blinds?

When I was working by Ottawa I met a plumber who was also a hoyt pro staffer. He's won the world's 3d twice. The year I met him who took a doe at 90yrds. He told me though he never would try a shot like that at a buck though. Not for the ordinary guy to try but I know he routinely practices out to a 100yrds

I've seen some incredible shots with both compound and traditional bows - all it takes is practice. There ya go Kirk!
