Barnett Denom Crossbow?

Hey, was looking at getting hubby a crossbow for his birthday, which is today. A friend has a new one for sale - never been used. Its a Barnett Demon.

I have NO idea about crossbows or what to look for. My friend has originally told me it was a compound bow, but obviously its not.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi Kristal,
It must be a couple of years old at least as they are not listed on Barnetts website at all. I would tend to stay away as there are probably no parts available for it if it ever has problems including strings which wear out fairly quickly. It is probably a compound crossbow so he was partly right. I shoot a Barnett Predator, my third crossbow so I do know a little about them.
