My question... is that an OK deal?

At that price you may be getting close to a new better unit. Snoop around a little more. I think my Exocet 200 lb was $650.00, five year warrenty, changed out my limbs in year four, no charge.

thanks... on second thought $500 is on the high side when for just $50 more I can get new with warranty...

mind you less a scope but maybe I can rob one off a riffle that is sitting in my closet...

now to decide which one to get...

If you buy a cross bow then make sure you get a cross bow specific scope. Rifle scopes are not built to last (on crossbows) nor are they calibrated as crossbow scopes are.
