Hi everyone,
I do a lot of hunting on my own and so far have always felt a little uneasy about the fact that if I have a problem out of cell phone range in the bush, things would get very complicated for me. Even something as minor as my truck breaking down could mean a survival situation.
Recently, I read about the SPOT 2 on these forums and it seems to be exactly what I am looking for: something that can send an "I'm OK" message, an "I'm OK but need help" message, and an SOS message if needed.
Has anybody used this device in the mountainous landscape of BC that can offer their account of how it performed? I have read both very positive and very negative reviews online but am not sure if these people were using it in landscape as demanding as BC's.
Any help would be appreciated.
