Well my brother in law (Ken) came over from the island for a little hunting with me.It all started on 11/11/10 @ 4:30 am drove out to the bush to see what we could find never been in the area before! We did lots of driving all the side roads looking for any sign, we went up one side road and met up with a truck driving out .We did the proper thing stopped and talked to the group it was a family looking to get their son his doe they were having no luck at all  We parted ways and continued up the road to the end then turned around.
Drove maybe 60ft and I noticed 2 white ass patches a buck with a doe standing there watching us from a little clearing surrounded by saplings. They were in maybe 50 yards the buck was frozen in place could not tell if he was a 4 point or not, Ken was trying to find an opening asking if can shoot ! At the last min the buck moved I said shoot Ken didn't have the shot ,the doe took off with the buck right behind into the thick bush.
We went in looking for them but we could not find them at all they were long gone.So we went about our day driving around found the snow which got our hopes up again we found lots of tracks all of a sudden 100 yards in front of us between the trees a doe was doing mach 1 out of there something must of been chasing her and there was no buck at all.
The next 2days we didn't see any animals at all lots of tracks we found the travel pattern but we were never in the right place at the right time the snow showed us that.We went to another area on Sunday it was foggy met up with other hunters say it was too foggy and nothing was moving. So we carried on like we knew what we were doing drove up the road aways around the bend and there he was standing there in the fog clearly could tell he was a 4x4,he took off around the next turn Ken ran up! The buck was standing there looking back,Ken pulled the trigger "click" didn't put the bolt down all the way.Fixed it quick Boom the buck dropped where he stood :-D
