Riley had a chance at a spike WT buck 30 feet from the front of the truck but he was not fast enough ,o well he is learning next time he will be faster on the draw ,LOL.

Riley could have taken a doe but he did not want a doe he was holding off for a buck WT ,next time he might get lucky.

Me and the young one was set up on the natural lick I found Sat evening ..
Just before 430pm I see a movement up hill from the lick I looked close and it was a hunter coming down with a white bucket I whistled to him and he turned around and started back up the hill ..

I then softly yelled at him and said wait ,then he came back down towards the lick.
I asked him what was in the bucket he said apples I said o ,ok.

I said how long did you know this lick was here he said 2 years ,I then said how many others that you know of know about this natural lick he said just me and now you.

I said I am tagged out but would like to come back and try to film some deer in around this lick he said thats not a problem.

I said I guess first come gets the place he said yes ,I feel bad about this and I think I will pull my two trail cams and keep out of there when he comes back I won't inter-fear with his hunts.

I said don't worry I will keep this place to myself and just one other hunter and thats I will keep to myself..

This nice person is coming back in this Thursday for the next two weeks to hunt this area ,so I have till then to try to film a few bucks as for my trail cams doing there work ,this week the forecast says we are to get lots of snow will be interesting next two weeks for me http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif..

It will be 3 months one week that I have been in the bush at the end of this month.

O ya the 4 trail cams I have are all the same and they coast me $99.00 before tax..

The trail cam is a moultrie there is only one problem I have found out about the Moultrie is the ears for the straps break off so I drill a hole through the webbed hinges and put tie wire making a loop..

I wouldnt take your trail cams down, some big boys havent shown up yet and you wont know whats around for next year if you do.

Big Man I am keeping an eye on the amount of snow that is pilling up in there.
I will bring my camper out when there is 3 feet of snow.

Neil I miss you my friend :wink: you are one great person to have around the camp.

I will be ok years of geting out in the wild you know what to expect.

Yesterday coming out there was two fallen trees across the road the power saw looked after that :-D..

I can remember story's my Father told me when he trapped and fenced for a living, he said some times he was in the bush from early spring until late fall, came out for supplies, then back in for the trapping in winter. He was a tough old son of a bitch! 1947, for you to live in the bush as long as you have, you must have a very strong mind, and a very tough body! Good for you for doing something most of us just dream about!
