My region 3 buck [Archive]

I just go back from region 3 and managed to get my biggest buck so far hes a nice 4x3 that was heavy into the rut. Went out with a buddy on wednesday and spotted a bunch of deer at first light. Walked in and sat at a spot and glassed a small 2 point chasing a couple does that took off on him. Then saw 5 does way off 1200 yards away and saw a deer with its tail up and head down slowly creepin after the does, watched him until we made out he was a 4 point and stalked up to within 238 yards. He was bedded down but stood up to follow his does so i let him have it. One shot right behind the shoulder and a dropper shot to the neck. walked over to him and man did he stink. Was the best hunt ive been on and am very satisfied with the outcome.

haha ya it was definately empty and it wasnt actually aiming towards me just looks like it in the picture.

now that is one NICE buck....maybe heading up to 3-29 this weekend if my boys can get away.I don't worry about ''stinky''bucks-one of the best deer we ever had was shot in full rut-so rank you could smell them some distance away.I just hung it for 2 weeks and it was fine

Another Region 3 mule deer buck in fine shape, huge powerful body and a high solid rack of antlers, a four point too. kwasky got it and it's a beauty.
