Thanks to a ton of scouting on Dino part I was able to shoot the deer in the timber. It was an awesome trip and learnt alot about hunting muleys.

nice looking bucks! did you stalk in on that buck in the timber or catch him in an opening?

The buck I shot was a stalk in the timber .I cut a set of large tracks the wind was in my face.So I moved very slow, zig zag my way through the timber and tried to avoid the snow when possible. Each time I found deer droppings I would squeeze when I starting to find warm piles Istarted to move even slower. At first all that I could see was the top of a does back then the buck lifted his head, I saw that it was a 4point but he dropped his head and didnt move for a long time.I figured he was going sneak out the back door and not present a shot.Fortunitly he poked his head up and one shot at about 50 yards and it was over. The deer were taken two days apart and on different mountains both were above 7000 feet.
