This year it was Jan. 16/17. Does anyone know if it's the same for next year? The dates for the 2011 weekend in question would be Jan 15/16.

Our Abby Indoor shoot will be held on January 15 & 16th 2011. All are welcome. We have already confirmed shooters from all over the province. If you have a question regarding the shoot, location or local hotels please PM me and we'll gladly answer all your questions. This should be our largest turn out ever! Last year we had between 300-400 shooters per day! Awesome door prizes to be won daily as well as a kitchen on hand for lunches and refreshments. All bows except X-Bow allowed. 15 targets ranging from 15-45 yards. Allot of new targets this year with some pretty creative backdrops. Don't miss out! This is going to be one heck of a shoot!:-D

Yikes!! Wear comfortable (sturdy) footwear - it'll be a cement floor, and do wear clothes...

Abbotsford Exhibition Park - Agrifair Arena
32470 Haidi Drive, Gate 2.

500 person capacity arena with built in seating, compact dirt floor, can be a little dusty sometimes. Has radiant heating, but still dress warm as it just keeps the heavy chill off. If you have guest watching have them bring blankets. Lots of parking on the Saturday but on Sunday try and get down early if you want a close parking spot as they have a Flee Market on and it can get kind of crazy.

Ahh. Dirt floor arena that's a bit on the cold side. That's news to me. I'll be sure to dress in layers and hiking boots. I'll bet it can get dusty, what with a few hundred people/shooters shuffling around.

I just MERGED the two threads about the Abby 3D Shoot into one thread, and made it a STICKY - so don't get excited about what appear to be doubled/dimb questions being asked/answered.

No dust literally flies around, it's good compact soil, that comment was more for the people sitting down in the stands to bring something to sit on.

How many targets per round? How many rounds per day? I'm planning on being there with one other shooter as well. Sounds like a fun shoot.

There will be 15 targets per round. Ranging from 15-45+ yards. You can shoot as many rounds as you can get in. I suggest you be there for 8:00am. Last call is usually 2:30pm. we do this to allow for shoot offs and door prizes.

It would be nice to post the rules and scoring for this too. Would they be the same as the one for the Sagittarius club?
Here's what I got:

The animal targets on the 3-D course have two scoring rings. The inner ring scores 10 points while the outer ring scores 8 points. An arrow hitting anywhere else on the animal scores 5 points. This is if you hit the animal on your first arrow. If you require a second shoot the scoring becomes; 5 for the inner ring, 4 for the outer ring and 2 anywhere else on the target. The 3-D targets are shot at from shooting the shooting stake that corresponds with their class. There are stakes for compound shooters, long bow and recurve shooters, cubs {children 7-12}, and pee wee {children 6 and under}.

I'll be there Friday to help setting it up, and I'll try to go both days. Now, I heard there will be 15 targets for adults and 15 for youths. So I asked one of the veterans if anyone got 150 points. And said "yes, these guys do". Now I now that my only chance at winning is the door prize.

Good shoot but personally I would love to see some more challenging shots. We picked up our bows after 3 months off and scored 150, 148 and 140 of 150. Definitely nice to get out though. Thanks to all the guys that set up etc.
