So I have been on the HBC forum for quite some time now, and have posted questions or comments but never any successful hunts so I figured what the heck, why not share some of the successful hunting successes within the 2010 season!!!
So here are some photos from our Elk hunting trip, Moose hunting trip, and my latest successful mule buck trip (my first and best mule buck, LEH doe draws don't count haha).
Some of the country we hunted.

After chasing some elk we decided to pack up and head up further north for some moose, although the weather came through like I have never experienced we were able to take at least one nice bull, my brothers first moose!!! (I wish my first moose was of this calibre)

This sucker was so big it jack knifed the trailer and almost flipped the quad and the way back to camp.

After two very good trips, I figured I would make my way back home to region 8 and chase after a mule buck, I hunted hard and after my second season of hard hunting my dad and I came across this buck in full rut chasing a small buck off of a doe.
He saw us and could care less that we were there, we didn't even see the doe off to the right with a small 3 point he closed the distance from about 300 yards to about 75 yards until the smaller buck scampered off, once he was off the chase he stood up to look at us, and BOOOM, the rest was history. You have to love the love sick mule deer.
The old man was happy when we walked up on this guy

I was even more excited, I was extremely happy with my first mule buck.
(He is at the shop getting done as we speak, I'll post photos when he's back)

A few days after getting this guy, the old man headed back out on his own as I had to go to work to pay for these trips and bills, and stumble across this guy, the one side has 5 points the other side, the fork itself was busted right off, must have been in a good fight. When he came up on it where it was broken off, the bone was still white and hadn't dried over yet showing it wasn't to much earlier that he had gotten into a good pushing match. Cool looking deer.

So that has been the 2010 hunting season as of now, time to get ready for some WT and maybe even another region 3 mule with everyone else!!
I tell you what, this is going to be a hard season to top, but I'm up for the challenge!!!
