Downed two green-winged teal with one shot the other day. Yes they were small, but they looked a lot larger when they were flying straight at me about 4' off the deck. Nice little appetizer birds and I love that shade of green.
Spirit made a nice double retrieve in the little streams that course through the marsh. One of the birds was a cripple and was trying to swim into cover when Spirit grabbed her up and brought her to hand. The second bird dropped into cover right in front of us about 10' across a little channel. After the first bird was delivered Spirit charged back in and picked up the other bird.

Spirit made about a 50yd swim through 2' breakers in the driving rain to retrieve a mallard earlier in the day. Going to need to get the camera out a bit faster to catch him in action.
