Try the packing house for cull apples, or buy the jammers for cheap

I am also going to try a little feed for the whiteys this weekend. Has anybody had any major success doing this? I kinda think that the feed should have been there a while ago for them to find it. But hopefully I am wrong!!

Not true I have baited new areas and the deer find the bait over a 24 hour period ,I have baited about 20 different places so far this fall for deer and elk..

It funny to me that the mule deer have never came into my baiting stations so far this year ???? ,I know they have not because whenever I start a new baited area I have a trail cam set up right in front of the baiting station so I can see what comes in.

my sister owns a horse and is willing to sell me 50pound bags for 20$ of some sort. She sais they are "oats" but in pellet form and the horses love them, Going to try baiting for my first time next year and see how it goes.

Let us members know what the outcome will be next year when you try them out in the hunting areas ,I know that I would be interested to hear if they work http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif

Is it lawful to bait deer? I thought it was illegal.
It is lawful. You thought wrong. There are lots of long threads about this subject on this very web site.

If you use apples make sure the bears are down for the winter. I placed a box of culls one time in September and got a big black surprise when I was heading into my treestand the next night:-D

Also if you use apples, step on them to make them smaller. The deer have a hard time chewing them, especially if they have frozen. Smaller peices and they are able to break them down.

get a sack of COB-rolled corn ,oats and barley, its like candy, any feed store carries it,about $11 a sack.I don't put out a lot at a time, you want to ATTRACT them, not FEED them, and you certainly don't want them to become dependent on it.

The liquid c'mere deer is better than the powder.. If the powder gets rained on it gets a crust then molds..
Soak some cracked corn in a 5 gal till it soaks up all the liquid, or pour it on a bail.. Don't be cheap with it.. :-)
