Anybody head out around boss lake this year? I went up there for the first time last week, sure is beautiful country in there, didn't see any animals but went for a nice hike. Anybody know the elevation there?

I've hunted in and around there for near 10 years. Some days you'd wonder why you got out of bed, then there's the day my son and I got a double on 2 nice bears. Last year it was a double on 2 mulies. The area holds moose, but I'm not sharing that info!!

The spot behind the lake I got my Mulie last year is 3500ft

4 of us just spent last week there. We saw a grand total of 2 whitetail does, 1 mulie buck (not a 4 point) and a handfull of mulie does. It is the least deer I have ever seen hunting anywhere. Saw 1 cow moose.

Elevation is around 1100-1300 meters in the area.

WSM is right about the bikers. There was a group of youngsters at DAvios Lake and we could hear them whoop it up until 3-4AM the first 2 nights. On our last night some idiots moved in next door to us and left their genset running all fíng night. I can't believe how selfish and discourteus some guys are. They also chewed up the campsite with their quads.

It's sad how the area is being taken over by ding bats. Lots of people in the spring, but most people are nice. We camp near the lakes so the Boss isn't totally alone. We hunt a ways away from there, where the wankers don't go!
