He is right. I got those pics with an email 6 years ago from a guy I used to work at. Still Have the email to prove. It was a tractor trailer that hit the grizz. Just to settle the story

I am just glad it was not a motorcycle, it would be a shame if someone wrecks a good bike

Theres a newspaper article above saying it was hit in Montana.

Dont think Montana and Terrace are anywhere near each other :D

My buddy is a guide in Montana and has seen that bear in person - it's mounted down there. It was killed ~there according to him.

Haha, I love the internet...everyone has "a buddy" that saw it, or used to work with a guy who knew someone who witnessed it, or got the emails the day of and know for a fact! That doesn't settle anything...

But just to clear things up, my uncle's friend's sister has a boyfriend who used to work as a C.O. and his boss inspected the bear and talked to the guy who was in the cab of the truck that hit him and it was in Alberta...finally, it's settled. I guess we can move onto another thread now. You're welcome.

No way, that bear was run over by a putt-putt driver in a suburb of Dehli. And that moose was actually shot in the Andes, near Machu-Pichu, honest!!!

It's all because of global warming and the re-routing of El Nino. Migration routes have gone haywire! As proof, just go look at the heards of llama's near Armstrong and the packs of ostriches neart Tofino... It's true, just ask Jelvis. Good old Jelly-oh, stereo.

830-Pound Bear Found Near Lincoln, Montana

Grizzly Killed by Pickup: The Photos
By Matthew Frank, 11-06-07

A dead 830-pound grizzly bear, hit by a pickup truck on Highway 200 near Lincoln, Montana, about three weeks ago.

The photographs that accompany this story were taken by Dennis Smrdel October 17th. That morning, at about 3:45, a logger driving a big Dodge diesel en route to Missoula hit something, but he wasn’t sure what, and he kept going. But a few miles later, after realizing his radiator was shot, he thought it best to turn around. He arrived back at a massive male grizzly dead in a ditch. A couple people had already discovered it. I know, I know....I'm trying not to think about being rained on for 3 straight days:( Hopefully the cloud cover will be high enough to glass.

I am guessing it will be more snow than rain.

Back to the thread . . . some nice game has surfaced from the Terrace area on occasion!

I hit a good size black bear on my Harley around Gran Forks September 06. That was a little freaky. Bike stayed up, bear got a sore hip, I got a story.

No need for me to eat crow here--I was saying it wasn't from Terrace--and laughing that no matter what someone says, someone else "has a buddy" that can prove otherwise!
