Sheep Breeding Age

I've heard that the magority of the breeding of Dall sheep is dont by 5 and 6 year old Rams, anyone out there know if this is true?

no its your 7,8,9,s that are your breeders if they are around

Young rams are capable, and will take what they can get, but ewes will stand for the older guys if they can hold out, they know the old guys are better. ;)
7 & 8 yr olds put out the most effort in the rut, breeding rutting and fighting, and many don't make the next winter because of being in a weakened condition.
Caveat is that it seems the average age of Dall rams is higher than Stone rams
