So i'm looking at getting a game cart to haul my deer out of the woods. I am wondering what sort of carts or techniques you guys/gals use or pictures of your carts? I've dragged my deer out many a time and used a buddy's cart a few times but now i'm looking at one for myself. Here's one I came up with http://www.discountramps.com/game-cart.htm which looks like a pretty good deal right now considering the CDN dollar is almost at par. There's no breaks but I could probably rig something up. Wutcha think?

I've also used carts quite a bit and overall they work great as long as the terrain is "cartable". The only problem I've encountered has been with plastic spoked wheels. Even though the the wheels on this cart we were using in this instance had very sturdy, solid plastic spokes, they could not take the lateral or side to side force while carting over uneven ground. We were pulling a large mule deer out of a coulie and after a bit of sidehilling the spokes snapped, rendering the cart useless. The cart I have now has metal spoked wheels. My buddy has a homemade cart which is alot larger than mine, made from aluminum and wheelbarrel type wheels, it works great especially for 1/2 of a moose per trip.

I've had a Sasquatch Pac Kart for two years now and used it to haul out 2 Bears and 4 deer. Including this one yesterday

I've compare the quality of this cart with others at Wholesale sports, Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops. I don't think you can go wrong with one of these carts. All welded construction, Canadian made

I am experimenting with a 16' extension ladder (for tree stand) and a set of wheels off of a handcart. I use the wheels to transport a fully loaded double kayak (~ 150 - 200 lbs). I will post again if I am happy with it. If not .....

I have a Sasquatch, works great! Used it for deer, bear and moose (1 half at a time). Once load is balanced you can wheel it pretty easy. Real easy if you get a couple of guys to help get it over logs.

Seen the sasquatch, that's the one I'd get if I was looking for a cart.

Got a Sasquatch after looking at all the others.
Highly recommend it AND, you are supporting a local BC Business.

I have a Sasquatch game cart as well. So far it has only hauled out one moose. Half at a time. Sure beat using the packboards. I think they cost about $220 a couple of years ago.

The nice thing about the Sasquatch cart is no axle across to the other wheel, That's the one I want. BCKID

Thanks for the information. $220 seems a little steep to spend when the other one is only $80 shipped and $5 to hop across the border and pick it up. By the looks of it though it's a bit more sturdy of a cart but probably doesn't take down quite as easily though.
Has anyone ever tried to bend there own with a 3/4 or 1 inch piece of electrical conduit?

You'll get exactly what you pay for for $80...we packed 4 elk quarters 5 k down a road with the Sasquatch..it is by far the best one on the market. Only advice if you get one...tape a spare tube and pump on it.

I built my own pack kart after the sasquatch design, took an evening in my shop with a bender from KMS tools, that I borrowed from a friend. It has hauled two deer this year, their the cats ass. Cost me about 50.00 for the steel and 10.00 for some used BMX wheels 7.00 bucks for the green spray bomb, 5.00 for the rope webbing . plus my time. The sasquatch kart are reasonably priced considering.:-D but I have a welder and like to use it from time to time.

This is my son with his second deer, Got to love locked gates sometimes. Note he's carrying my gear too, that's worth it right there!!!!

The Sasquatch cart is amazing. Got to use it 6 times already this year. Had to use the winch on my truck with a couple of bears on the cart this year and saved the hides. The cart in your first post has a axle, not a good thing, if you hunt anywhere off a road. I have taken deer out on mine over steep side hills on one wheel ( you do need a second guy with a rope over the to the down hill side to keep it from rollong over). One other thing, I have loaded up 300lbs bears into the back of my truck by myself, sliding it up on the cart. Good investment if you ask me.

I guess you've gotta figure out if $120 is the value you place on hiking a big animal and your broken cart out 5, 10, 20 or 30 kms on your back or if you'd rather drag your critter out on a cart.
