Ok only took three tries to post pictures. GRRR.

On sunday Dad and I were going to go and see if we could spot a goat that I have a draw for. As we are going down the mainline. We spot three does heading up the bank. As I stop the truck I look back and up the hill I see movement and a thick dark set of antlers. I jump out of he truck load a shell in the 300 win mag. I put the scope on the buck to see if he is a legal 4 point buck. He then decides to hide behind a bush so I take a few steps back and to the side. He then turns and looks at me. O my he is huge and a 4 point. I then put the cross hairs on his neck and...BOOM. One roll and he jams up against a tree. 60 yards up hill my first deer in about 5 years. (the last one is my avatar) So after some yahoos with dad, I cut my deer tag!! Yes I have a cut deer tag!! We took some pictures and now the work begins. The deer is a tank! He is really heavy and stinky. (pee bag was empty) The clay on his antlers is from the road. Heavy to move then put into the truck. So here are some more pictures.

Inside measured between the G3s. Have not measured the rest of it as I do not know how to do. Have a freind coming over to my cousins, where I am staying and he knows how to score antlers. (unofficial). will post as I find out.

You bet. Have the avatar mounted and a Manitoba 5x5 whitetail mounted. Wife calls them the twins. I called to tell her the good news. So now they will become the triplets.:-D:-D

I have had to road hunt more lately because my dad cannot walk very far due to bad legs. I love to spot and hunt game. Really enjoy calling for game. Last years moose 88 steps from our wall tent. Dad had the tag. perfect no walking, great for him. Easy for me very little packing out game. Same as this deer he was very heavy.

Amazing deer man, I saw one in october of 09 around kamloops same cailber buck it got away from me. Me and buddy were on a quad and stumbled apon a kamloops local and he had looked like he saw a ghost. We stopped to talk to him and he had told us he just saw the biggest deer he had seen in his life with 3 does, by the time he raised his gun the deer was gone. so me and my buddy kept goin up the road and took the first branch in the road until it turned into a dead end so we got off the quad and started to hike we saw the 3 does and i was finding MASSIVE fresh nuggets of deer shit, biggest ones i've ever seen these droppings were huge and they were everywhere so i'm getting excited now and keep pressing on, i climb up this ridge and as soon as i get to the top and have view down below i see this deer is in mid air leaping into the thick stuff all before i could get him into my scope, went in after him but he was long gone still kicking my self to this day. would of been my first buck and probably my biggest. Nabbed my first one in oct of 2010 but not that size. congrats

Thanks!! Yes I am getting him mounted. Wild Images in Duncan is doing the taxidermy. I am pretty sure I will get him back in late fall. I will post the pictures!!
As far as the meat. Surprising it is very good. My fathers moose shot in 09 was a young bull. I called him in to camp was alot more gamey than this deer. He is cooking in a Lasagna as I am writing this. MMMM..
He did not have alot of fat. By far the biggest deer yet.

I only heard rumours that the buck from MR scored around 180 and grossed about 188 give or take a little,it was very wide 37 inches or so either way a gorgeous deer.
