Hi, I am looking for a really good low light mid size binocular, It is always a struggle to identify game at dawn or dusk, I was thinking of a 10x32, not sure what kind to get, I was hopeing to stay under a grand. Thanks

Have a look at the Vortex line.

better to get an 8X or 7X if you can find them, for the low light.
32's will already be a handicap, but they sure are a handi size.

Try the Kowa's that The Hermit sells through Vanagate point. Bill is a member and sponsor on this site. I had a look through a set he had at the recent gun show and was blown awa.

You can PM Bill through his user name, The Hermit, on this forum.

Cheers.

If you must have a 32mm objective I'd opt for 7 or 8 power as Boxhitch suggested. Exit pupil will be about 25% larger, much better in low light at dawn and dusk, when you are apparently having issues.

Endless options under a grand. Nikon, Leupold, Bushnell, Vortex, Minox, Pentax, Kowa etc. You can even get some of the high end Euro stuff for that price if you shop around for used/demos.

I have a pair of Leupold Gold Ring 10X32 and they are great, even at low light!

Kowa has discontinued the camouflage versions (exactly the same as the current ones that are green) and they retailed at $540US but now have them at pretty great prices.

Check them out here: http://www.kowa-usa.com/kowanewweb/sporting/binoculars.html

I can order a set of the BD32-8-CAM for you, it will take about a week for me to get them and then two days more to arrive to you, HST and shipping in $460.00

Just as good as the Vortex and way less expensive!

I would take a good hard look at the Viper in the Vortex line. 10X42 would be my choice. They go for around $650 from Grouse River. My buddy just picked up a pair and looking through them will amaze you.

Hey Thanks everyone, cant make up my mind on big or small binos, also like the rangefinder built in idea, have to look around a bit, CR has poor selection.

I have 3 different lines of Vortex binos. If you want a look through any of them we could arrange it I am sure. I am in CR also.
