I was thinking of doing some wolf hunting. I'm looking for 3 or 4 high density locations. I hear they're in abundance so if anyone could share some knowledge. Thanks.

both the downie creek drainage and goldstream drainage is holding alot of wolves.up towards mica creek outside of revelstoke.the local caretaker at the mine has watched the wolve injure many an animal only to leave them afterwards.then a week later see the animal witha tendon hanging out of a back leg on a few different moose.
cruel critters that should be eliminated or at least reduced in a large way throughout the province

we saw a wolf while we were in a blind for mulie's. Didnt shoot it cuz i dunno.. . i was wondering, what do you do with wolf after besides taking the fur, do you eat the meat? Leave it? Just curious

After you've confirmed there aren't any other wolves hanging around for you to fling more lead at, you use whatever you have handy to plug your nose, put some rubber gloves on, and get to work skinning. Once you're done, burn whatever clothes you were wearing while doing the job. If you ever get the chance to smell a dead wolf, you will realize just how funny your question about eating the meat is.

empire has tons, I have talked to one of the guys who has a trapline and traps around the ranches there and he told me that there are so many they have chased away the deer and are now eating cattle. I have heard and seen them there as well.

Tough to Hunt wolves, all the ones I've shot we're luck, right place, right time. All the time I've spent Hunting wolves hasn't produced. Good luck though, they are all over. I hear all the time from Hero hunters that they saw some wolves (usually a huge pack) but they never shoot them....WTF?? Nothing personal to anyone.
Anyways, good luck, hopefully you get some shooting in. Heard a rumor that Cattlemans Association (region 5) is paying 200 bucks for proof of kill this year. May be BS, but worth checking into if you skid one.
