Well after 13 years of applying for a Bison tag, this year I was suprised to see a conformation in the mail that said "succesfull"
After a lot of anticipation, Oct 1 finally came around
We seen a lot of buffalo the first few days, and a good freind of mine tagged out on a great cow the first few days in.
I however , was not so fortunate
I hunted HARD for 12 days, from morning till night, and was starting to think that I would never get another chance at a Bull (missed a 50 yard shot on day 4)
Day 12 started great, as we got a couple of sneaks in on a bull that was travelling wtith 4 cows. But as close as I got was 45 yards, and the bull never presented a good shot.
Later in the morning, I began to see more and more bison, and blew 2 more attempts at small herds (25 to 40 animals )
Then I found a large herd of at least 75 animals3014and made a great sneak, and got a broadside shot at 48 yards
The bull went about 125 yards before laying down, and got up and move twice more, about 10 yards at a time before laying down for good3015
Equipment used
GT-500 set at 64 Lbs
Darkhorse 340 stud series arrows, tipped with 125 grain montecs
Bull rough scores 106 and change
